Balsamic Vinaigrette is a classic dressing and marinade. Its on every menu that has a salad and for good reason. Its perfect balance of sweet, acidic, bold, and mellow makes it a prime choice since the 11th century.

Try this quick and easy balsamic vinaigrette as a glaze and a dressing like in my Strawberry and Seared Salmon Salad.

Making balsamic dressing is easy but requires quality ingredients. High quality vinegar, single batch extra virgin olive oil and good local honey will make all the difference when you add this to your repertoire.

The star of the show here is 100% the balsamic vinegar. Its worth buying a real aged high quality bottle. You can get them online or from a specialty shop and Amazon.com can provide a range of price points.
